Footprints

One night a man had a dream.

He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord.

Scenes from his life flashed across the sky
and he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
one belonging to him and the other to the Lord.

When the last scene of his life had flashed before him,
he recalled that at the lowest and saddest times of his life
there was only one set of footprints.

Dismayed, he asked, "Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,
you'd walk with me all the way.
I don't understand why, when I needed you most,
you would leave me."

The Lord replied, "My precious child.
I love you and I would never leave you.

During your times of trial and suffering
when you saw only one set of footprints...

That was when I carried you."

STILL!
Hide me now
Under your wings
Cover mewithin your mighty hand
When the oceans rise and thunders roar
I will soar with you above the storm
Father you are king over the flood
I will be still and know you are God
Find rest my soul
In Christ alone
Know his power
In quietness and trust

(you can listen to the song here)

This is such an Amazing song. How in the middle of the storm we can be STILL and KNOW God is there. In the middle of a real strom and even in the middle of spritual storm or battle!
We can be still and now that HE is God. PSALM 46: 1-God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. 10-Be Still and know that I AM God!...I Will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! KNOW HIS POWER IN QUIETNESS AND TRUST!! know how BIG He is, no matter what, he is BIG and he will keep us from evil. But remember he will also disipline us. He will keep us under hus wings, if we seek him and OBEY him. And as we do that he will reward us, as pur mothers would give us a candy if we ate our food or our dad took us to the playground if we helped wash his car. But if we disobey him their will ALWAYS be a consequence no matter what you do, He will never take that consequence away because we are he beloved children and he wants to as disipline us in a way where we will realize what we did wrong and understand that punishement was because of LOVE. As a Father disi´lines his child here on earth, in that way he disiplines us as we are his children and his only.

Hebrews 12
God Disciplines His Sons

1Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. 2Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. 4In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. 5And you have forgotten that word of encouragement that addresses you as sons: "My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, 6because the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son." 7Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father? 8If you are not disciplined (and everyone undergoes discipline), then you are illegitimate children and not true sons. 9Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of our spirits and live! 10Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness. 11No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. 12Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. 13"Make level paths for your feet," so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed.
