Footprints
One night a man had a dream.
He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Scenes from his life flashed across the sky
and he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
one belonging to him and the other to the Lord.
When the last scene of his life had flashed before him,
he recalled that at the lowest and saddest times of his life
there was only one set of footprints.
Dismayed, he asked, "Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,
you'd walk with me all the way.
I don't understand why, when I needed you most,
you would leave me."
The Lord replied, "My precious child.
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering
when you saw only one set of footprints...
That was when I carried you."

King of the Jews
Luke 23:32-36
Two other men, both criminal, were also led out with Him to be executed. One of the crimials was on His left and the other on His right. Jesus said: "Father, Forgive them for they do not know what they are doing." and they devided his clothes by casting lots. He was suffering, but still HE WAS THINKING OF OTHERS! asking for them and not being selfish and asking for Him!
The people stood wathing, the rulers sneered at him and said, "He saved others; let Him safe Himself if He is the Christ of God, the chosen one." The soldiers also mocked Him, offered Him wine vinegar, and said: "If you are the King of the Jews, safe yourself."
WOW, can you imagine being on a CROSS listening to people mock you, KNOWING you will someday be rejected and knowing people will denny you and even hate you. Imagine being their SAVING all those people and yet they are mocking and not believeing you! Imagine being mocked by the words of "safe yourself IF...." knowing you have the power, BUT still he loved us SOO much he didnt, having the power to live He suffered for OUR sins and for our "mistakes."
Sometimes we are like that. We mock God in other ways. "If you love me why did you do this??"
I include myself in this. I go through hard moments KNOWING i have someone who UNDERSTANDS me, but i sometimes doubt, i doubt i wont be able to handle it, and my mind is a BATTLE, back and forth, a battle of "good" and "bad" and at the end my thoughts are always: "God is with me, HE is never gonna give me a thing i cant handle and he is gonna help me."
God wont let you down, you will have MANY friends who will fail you, who wont be real friends, but always remember you have one who is a perfect friend and will never let you down!
Luke 23:39-43
One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at Him, "Arent you the Christ? save yourself and us!" But the other criminal rebuked, "Dont you fear God," he said, "since you are under the same sentence. We are punished justly, for we our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong.
Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom."
Jesus Answered him, "i tell you the truth, today you will be with me in PARADISE.
This two criminal represent us. On one hand, the first criminal, who mocked Jesus. Those are the people who have the truth and dont believe it. those who have the opportunity to live with a relationship with God and there eyes fixed on God but they either dont want to, are afraid, or just dont believe at all.
And on the other hand those of us sinners like the second criminal who rebuked. who refused to believe the other criminal and chose to follow the savior those of us who today have been taken to "paradise" with Jesus, and it might not be now, but some day it will! and it is NEVER too late. see this criminal was on a cross dying. but still he decided to believe Jesus, his savoir!!...
